What's the turnaround time for soldering?
Soldering broken cable chains, charms onto the bracelet, or posts onto earrings are considered simple soldering and can be done fairly quickly. Soldering engagement ring and wedding band together, or a broken multi-link fancy chain are considered complex soldering and will require extra time to finish.
Example What to expect during the soldering process?
Normally, we use a torch to solder broken parts together, then polish the item to clean up the solder seam and bring back the shine. However, soldering requires heat and if heat sensitive stones are near the area to be soldered, stones will need to be removed first, and there is an additional charge to remove and put back the stone.
How much does soldering cost?
Simple sterling silver soldering starts at $35, and the price will go up depends on the design, metal, and the location of the area that needs to be soldered. In order to give you an accurate price quote, we will need to take a look at the item first.
